PHOENIX CHORALE
Jenny Wong, conductor

Our 60th Anniversary Season opens with “Desert and Rivers,” with music inspired by the contrasting landscapes of our home state of Arizona, a unique environment of stunning desert scenery, fed by the rushing rivers that have shaped it for eons. Jenny Wong leads this program exploring desert-inspired themes of solitude and exile, along with rushing flowing rivers conjuring images of healing, mystery and rebirth. Highlights include music by Moira Smiley, Palestrina, C.P.E. Bach, John Adams, Ola Gjeilo, and more.
