Phoenix in the Mid-Century

Discover what life was like in the mid-century boom of Phoenix in this lecture focusing on the period when the Phoenix Chorale was born: 1958. Known as Phoenix’s “Hip Historian,” guest lecturer Marshall Shore uses storytelling magic, sound recordings, artifacts to bring our history to life in entertaining and educational presentations. Phoenix Chorale:
Celebrating 60 Years of Music-Making

The Grammy-winning Phoenix Chorale has been a resident ensemble of Trinity Cathedral for over 20 years. This special lecture, presented by the Phoenix Chorale, is inspired by their April 2019 concert series “Reflections,” and will feature a look at the ensemble’s 60-year history. Phoenix Chorale Assistant Conductor Dr. Kevin Kriegel (and tenor in the ensemble for over ten years) shares highlights of six decades of music-making through alumni stories, musical examples, and much more. SONGFEST
